As discussed in the previous section, I feel a double bight is a good option for main lifting loops. However, carabiners are likely to be even more efficient. These precautions are overkill for peripheral secondary lines, i.e. anything not critical.

Here;s a quick video showing this technique. The ingredient of the loop thrown over the top as a final step will be familiar to you already as it is one that is used elsewhere. It is based on a technique common in hojojutsu for a quick tie-off without needing to pull the whole rope through. Yukimura used something similar in some of his work.
