If you are still wondering how much these tutorials will improve your rigging and, most importantly, the effect on those who you tie you should read 'A rope first: My beautiful story' written by the partner of one of my students. There's no doubt that what he learned on ShibariClasses worked Here's a short snippet to give you the flavour:

"I’ll just be honest. Simply put, I had not been enjoying it as much as I’d have liked. Sad. It made me so sad. I longed for rope and yet resisted. What’s wrong with me?

But last night. Last night was different. It was beautiful and there are hardly words. But I will try" - Alexandra-Jo

"Bruce and Nina,

I am writing to let you know just how wonderful your instructional site ESINEM - Shibariclasses is. In an unassuming style both you and Nina present simple and complex processes broken down to their component parts so they can be internalized by the student and used in a myriad of ways as we progress. You take a single theme or tie and show it , stopping throughout to show where alternative components could be used and why each is either important or unimportant. Then you’ll perform the same tie in various ways to show how all these component parts can be put together . There is no other instructional website that does this in the same detail or style that you both display. Again there are a number of wonderful wonderful sites which I support but none that dive into the detail and emotion that is yours. It is the next best thing to in person tuition learning that there is bar none! Especially in these COVID-19 days. I am lucky to have a nationally known instructor in Houston and look forward to in person instruction again but you have significantly improved my understanding and style as my instructor can attest.

Additionally your sister site The Art and Practice of Shibari displays what is possible, albeit in a theatrical setting, when the technique and emotion are combined for display. I find it an excellent companion site!

Yours,

Mark G"

If you prefer it pithy and to the point, these are some of the things my students have said::

"I was actually able to get my princess into subspace with rope for the first time using the techniques you taught in the videos" - Nerdy_Sir

"Hi. Very impressed with the intimate, subtle, and intellectual approach I've found with this course; I am more than pleasantly surprised. I'm greatly looking forward to immersing myself in this truly wonderful way to bond with people and developing a sense true touch and fluid proficiency." Ellis Wood

"Bruce,

I wanted to thank you for your efforts in education, inviting beginners in Shibari/Kinbaku to learn the right way. I found your site via @123avalon and am looking forward to learning and exploring. As a novice rigger I’ve looked around at some tutorials and see a clear difference in style, purpose, and mentality. I wanted to take the time to say that your emphasis on *how* the tie happens is so much more important than what the knot/form/pattern is. It’s the connection with your partner, intense focus and mediation for me, complete submission and out of mind experience for her. An experience and connection like no other.

Thanks again,
Joe"

"A deep, wholehearted THANK YOU for what you're doing and the excellent work you're putting into it. My skill set wouldn't be near what it is if it wasn't for you, Nina, & ShibariClasses" Blink

" I have just in fact gone 'back to the start' as it were and purchased the "Shibari: The Easy Way" course and it comes as no surprise to find that even after 5 years of tying, there was still a whole heap of information and ideas that opened up new avenues of exploration for me. So again, thank you to both yourself and to Nina too." Matt P

"I'm reaching out to you because I've enrolled in a few of your online courses recently and I am blown away. I intend to take every course. My local rope community has a bad reputation for consent violators and I don't feel comfortable associating with them. Your site gives me an alternative that actually works better for me as I like to re watch your hand motions over and over." JohnnyThrash

"I completed the course and loved how well the reasoning behind each movement was explained, rope efficiency and how the energy is transmitted through the rope. It's IMPRESSIVE!!!

I can't wait to complete the next 2 courses for the same subject and soon ALL the courses" - Myself

"Awesome. Very informative and well presented. Will be very exciting to learn more of your wisdom." JM

"I just wanted to extend a warm thank you from both myself and Minervamedica for your WONDERFUL content on shibariclasses.com It has been a truly amazing resource for us for us to learn and practice with. Of course we know it does not replicate one-on-one in person instruction...but the bang for buck cannot be understated..so we are deeply appreciative of all the work you and Nina Russ have put into this. And of course all the lovely bottoms". - Diespater & Minervamedica

"I just wanted to say thank you. When I got into rope your video on the 2TK was my start. I truly appreciated your talent, your wisdom, and your willingness to share both. You are truly amazing and creative not to mention a very skilled teacher. Thank you for inspiring us to become better riggers." - Knot-Maker

" i wanted to say thank you for your courses that i had subscribed on the web, My wife and I follow them actively and thanks god you are there. We used youtube video to progress but the consequences could have been disastrous for the health of my partner without taking course on your site" - The-Wosician

"Your 'old style gote' and 'suspension basics' tutorial have been so helpful, and contain so much information, that I can't thank you enough" - FP

"You are the main source of any progress that I have made in rope at all, and I appreciate all that you do to share your knowledge...I think I'm going to spend a lot of time watching and understanding the self analysis and critique one of the best elements of this study so far." - Joe

"Your tutorials are a great resources for anyone new to shibari " - WannaRigher

"The emphasis that I get is twofold - how rope can be simpler (knowing how to safely cause a reaction), and more complex (safely conducting partial and full suspensions) - as I say, Nina and yourself have opened up a new world to me" - FP

"I love the focus on your models' reactions; it's possible to pick up a lot of non-obvious techniques just by watching their faces. :)" - Oldlabelsdancing

"I am a while enrolled in the course Japanese Rope Bondage what is really great " - Handk

"I purchased your DVD some time ago...around when you first put it out...it's been a great addition to the library and my personal education within my rope journey" - MasterslaveM

"I just wanted to email you to tell you that I love the Nina Russ hip harness. I have had so much trouble with hip harnesses being massively uncomfortable pretty much since I started roping until I tried (at least some variation) of the hip harness you developed and it was a huge game changer for me. I loved it so much. I was able to stay up for pictures and I could have hung much longer as comfortably as one can in waist rope if we weren't trying to do a bomb. So thank you for thank you for developing that! It was really great and my favorite harness I have tried so far, both in aesthetic and in action". - Kukolka

"Thank you for a few things...

One, inspiration to get into rope a few years back- has come two fold ;)

Second- i purchased your rope kit on line- jute, and I love it! I had only worked with hemp previously. I am getting better at tying as you might see in my latest pictures- not great yet but...

Third ...with the help of your tutorials i am becoming more proficient." - CarnalSolace
